Standing Beside Young Lives

Hope For Young Lives is a non-profit organization established to support children and young adults diagnosed with cancer. We work to advance awareness, strengthen support systems, and ensure that every patient has a community beside them throughout this difficult journey.
Our goal is to create a space where young patients and their families feel understood and supported. Through survivor interviews and shared experiences, we help children see that others have faced similar challenges and found a way forward.

What We Do?

Meet the Founder

Nika Raouf

Founder

I founded Hope For Young Lives to stand beside children and young adults facing cancer and to contribute meaningfully to a challenge that affects more families every day.”
Cancer is becoming increasingly common in our society, touching the lives of countless individuals and loved ones. Watching this rise and feeling unable to help was something I could not ignore.
The thought of children enduring such a difficult journey while I remained only a witness was painful. I could not accept being someone who simply observed their struggle without taking action.
After spending a long time researching pediatric cancer and creating awareness content, I realized that knowledge alone was not enough. I needed a way to turn that knowledge into impact.
Hope For Young Lives became that path and the place where I could transform concern into action.

Advice From Survivors

Find what helps your body and mind recover

After my cancer journey, I had to rebuild myself slowly. Meditation and yoga helped me calm my mind and reconnect with my body. Changing my diet gave me strength and stability again. Everyone’s path is different, but finding what supports your body and mind makes a real difference.

Take care of yourself after treatment

Cancer doesn’t end the day treatment stops. It drains you physically and mentally in ways you don’t expect. After treatment, pay attention to yourself even more than before. Rest when your body asks for it. Listen when your mind feels overwhelmed. Healing continues long after the hospital visits end.

Hold on to hope

Hope is not a small thing. It’s something that keeps you moving when everything feels heavy. I tried not to lose mine, even at my worst. There was a moment when I didn’t want to try any more medication. I felt tired, drained, and done. But the last bit of hope I had pushed me to try one more treatment — and that decision changed everything. I’m cancer-free today because I didn’t let go of that hope.
